Hi, welcome to my Bloog,

I’m Hayley, as you can see I sew, I have my own business “Stitch-Up”.. I alter, mend and make almost anything.

I Started sewing when my Children were young, it was a lot cheaper to make lovely dresses for my Daughters than it was to buy.

I would find any material from just about anywhere and make dresses all stitched together by hand as I didn’t have a machine at that time.

Slowly starting to make toys and also branching out into furnishing, covering old chairs that were given to me, making curtains to match, covering cushions.. anything to keep me busy and to make the home look cosy at little cost.

Then as the children grew it was the alterations, hems on their school uniform, jeans to be taken up and much more,  soon I was doing alterations for other people, and even better getting paid for doing it, and 20 years later im still doing the same, as the Children have now grown up and moved on, I do have a day job, and enjoy coming home and sewing, I find it relaxing after a days work..
